Monthly Giving Q&A!

Hello dear friends and family! A couple of weeks ago we shared some BIG news- our one time moving costs are fully funded! With these funds, we will be able to purchase plane tickets, a reliable vehicle, and the odds and ends of starting a new life in a new place (pots and pans, etc.)! When we first started support-raising, the sum that we needed to raise upfront seemed like an insurmountable number... but GOD! We've seen firsthand how God provides through His people, and we're deeply grateful for each of you who have prayed, given, and supported us on this journey!

We've had a number of questions in the past two weeks as we've been praying for and working on building our monthly support team. Below is a helpful Q&A of the most common questions we've gotten. Your monthly support allows us to serve faithfully in the ministry while ensuring our family is cared for day to day!

Q: What needs does my monthly support meet?

A: The work we will do with Naomi's Village is a fully missionary role, meaning that we receive no compensation from the organization. Your monthly support will go toward our family's daily needs, like food, electricity, gas, rent, etc. We are more than happy to share our budget with you if you'd like a more detailed look! Just send us a text or email!

Q: Why doesn't Naomi's Village pay your family?

A: Naomi’s Village is doing so much in the Maai Mahiu community! Between caring for 100 children at the home, educating and feeding over 450 students at the school, providing food, beds, and solar panels to families, supporting expectant mothers, and expanding through ongoing building projects, there’s an incredible amount happening every day. The organization also prioritizes employing Kenyans, creating much-needed jobs in an area with high unemployment.

We absolutely love this holistic approach and wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re genuinely honored that our role allows every dollar raised by Naomi’s Village to continue going directly toward meeting practical needs and empowering the local community.

Q: Why do you need monthly support before moving to Kenya?

A: Before we’re cleared to move, our organization asks that we have our full monthly support team committed. This helps ensure that our family is sustainably cared for and that we can focus fully on the ministry once we arrive. By beginning your monthly giving now, you’re helping us take that final step toward Kenya! Your support helps make our calling a reality!

Q: What happens to the monthly support I give before you move?

A: Any monthly support given before we arrive in Kenya helps build our family’s emergency fund, which provides a safety net for unexpected needs such as medical care, vehicle repairs, or emergency travel. It’s an important way to ensure we’re well-prepared and able to focus fully on the ministry once we’re there.

Q: Does all of my donation go directly to you, or does Naomi’s Village take a portion?

A: Every dollar you give to our fund goes directly to support our family. Naomi’s Village does not take any percentage of donations made on our behalf.

At the bottom of the giving form, you’ll see a box labeled “Donor pays fees.” If you leave that box checked, an additional 3% will be added to your gift to cover the standard online processing fee. This ensures that we receive your full intended amount. We’re so grateful for your generosity and the care you take to help us steward every gift well!

Q: How do I set up monthly giving?

2. Select the amount you'd like to give monthly. When you give, don’t forget to click “Make Recurring Gift.” That’s what turns your donation into a monthly partnership, and those faithful monthly gifts are what keep us on the field long-term!

3. Fill our your billing information.

4. Click the "Submit Button".
