Faithfulness In The Waiting- & a BIG Update!!

Friends, the past two months have been a mix of wonderful and difficult! So much celebration, so much time together.... and so much waiting! We've grown in honesty with God over these past few months, as we planned to leave for Kenya in July but are still here in Tennessee in October. But over these days that simultaneously seem so slow and much too fleeting, our conviction in this has only grown stronger: Jesus is FAITHFUL!

We see it in the daily provision of shelter in this transitional season, the meals that have been miraculously given when finances are tight as Elisha juggles working, support raising, and leading a family that needs a little more attention right now.

We see it in the way that God is slowly growing our patience, the tender love and comfort that we receive from the Father when we come with hearts open and raw and exhausted from another turned page on the kitchen calendar.

We want to extend that hope to you- that in your season of waiting, the Lord is not absent. He sees your heart that aches for new. He sees the dreams that are close to your spirit and that taste like grief as they remain unrealized. He invites you to tell him all about it like you would a dearest friend, no matter how messy the words may feel. For the One whose hands were messy with the gore of the war for our salvation, nothing you could bring him is too much.

Here's a few updates from the past couple of months, and a BIG exciting support update!

Last month, we celebrated Elisha turning 25 and Madeline turning 3! If you know these two personally, you know that they are pure JOY and are so easy to celebrate!

Here's a few extra pictures from the last couple of months as we've been leaning more into the beauty of God's creation- in the world around us, in each other, and in ourselves!

Okay, here's the big update...

As of this morning, our one-time moving costs are FULLY FUNDED!!! This amount allows us to purchase our flights, a vehicle when we arrive, and the odds and ends of starting out, like pots and pans! We are SO grateful to everyone who has contributed to provide this amount that at one time felt insurmountable and we are absolutely in awe at what God can do through His people!

Now, to leave for Kenya, we need more monthly supporters! We've created this helpful graphic below to show how many more monthly supporter we need to be fully supported! To purchase our flights, we need to be receiving 75% of our monthly support! Thank you to those few sweet families who have been signed on for the past few months, and if you've been considering joining on, now is the time!
